Future Dreams

~We're doing a journal project in English class this year. I'll post some of my topics here:)

In ten years, I will hopefully be out of school!  My parents are praying to go back to the Philippines when I’m in college, but Lord willing I’ll be able to stay in the United States.  It would be awesome to live in Paris, France or somewhere exotic but let’s be realistic.  So far in the six years of living here, I have enjoyed it.  I haven’t found many things to do here so maybe I’ll move to a different state.  Hawaii, perhaps?  It would be so wonderful to live by the ocean.  If only land surrounds me, I want to live in a classy modern home in the heart of downtown where cafes and shops are close by.
I guess all of this depends on God’s will and my husband!  Hopefully God will send me someone special so I can get married and start a family.  I wasn’t the sparkly pony and dream of your wedding day type of girl when I was little.  I liked getting dirty and being mischievous, but now that I’m older, I am actually dreaming of my wedding day.  I want my wedding ceremony to be outdoors in the spring or summer; the color scheme will be purple and silver, and I want my wedding gown to have lace and floral detail.
Other than being a mom to two boys and a girl, I am hoping to either be an artist, photographer, or a writer.  My parents tell me I need to find a job that’s on demand, so maybe full time I’ll be an elementary school teacher, a pharmacist, or a nurse like my mom and then be creative part time.  But I keep asking myself, “Do I still want to study after I graduate?” and “Do I really want to have a medical career?”  Whatever comes in my way in the future though, I know it’ll be God’s plan.  I’ll just let Him handle everything since He knows what’s best for me.

Time Flies When You're Having Fun

#Nerd at Wally World
Ha, I wonder if that's true about school!  I can't believe it has already been a month since we started school...  a month of tests, quizzes, and homework=p It has been fun too though. I am enjoying art class- learning how to shade correctly and such. I really like writing journal entries for English class, and I love how my teacher actually writes back. I am so glad that I am part of the class officers this year because if I wasn't I wouldn't really be part of school. I would be part of the torture, just kidding;) but being able to help in the choices is a great privilege. We had our first class luncheon a few weeks ago; it wasn't a complete stink bomb. It was slow at first but I think everyone had fun (I was really worried so I didn't enjoy it as much). Today, we showed the class a sample of our class item and we got positive feedback. Some of the guys though, were so annoying.. -.-' They just complained out loud and that was just rude and discouraging; at least keep it to yourself! I guess I would've done the same if I didn't like it... shows me that I also need to work on that area. Right now, we're just planning for our Spirit Day. I think we have a good theme picked out. We just need to get the deets sorted out, like games and stuff. If you have any Spirit Day theme suggestions, feel free to comment:) I know nobody will, cus no one reads this blog lol- well, everybody I see looking at this page is too shy.

Well, I'm having a great time in high school (till the exams... dun dun dunnnn...)! Just pray that my team will be able to get everything figured out and that everybody will enjoy Spirit Day and all the upcoming activities we've got up our sleeves;)

Labor Day Weekend!

I spent my Labor Day weekend by...

-Going to a soccer game.  They had approximately 7000 people there!  It was the biggest college soccer game ever...  My friend, Karis, came and we had such a good time just hanging out.  I've missed her (she moved)!  The concession stands were pretty good; they had funnel cake which we devoured graciously:), free Jack In the Box water bottles, Chubby Cupcake stand (super cute name lol).  It was so crazy when they were shooting T-shirts and balls towards the crowd!  Me and Karis almost got a T-shirt, but the guy beside us shoved us off the sidewalk.  They even had fireworks at the end!  SCORE: Women's Home-0, Guest-2; Men's Home-4, Guest-8.  Our people didn't win but they did their best.

-Studying and working ahead... ahh, a Physical Science test on Wednesday:p

-Watching the Hunger Games!  <spoiler alert> I was so excited:D  but overall, the book is still better than the movie!  They totally left out/changed some parts like the Avox girl, Madge giving Katniss the mockingjay pin, Haymitch at the reaping, Peeta's dad giving Katniss cookies, Cato being more powerful, more of Gale (he only appeared a few times in the movie!).  Some parts were kind of dull and silent but I guess that was supposed to set the serious sad mood.  I guess I anticipated too much since I had already read the book.  I thought the part where Rue dies was going to be real sad but it wasn't that sad... I don't know, just my opinion.  If you've watched the movie or not, READ THE BOOKS!  I heard they're already making the second movie, Catching Fire.  Will be interesting to see since the Quarter Quell has the ocean!  And the third movie will be interesting too since Peeta goes psycho...  I've said too much:)

Going back to school tomorrow... It doesn't seem like I actually relaxed this weekend.
Happy Labor Day!
