Rocket Launch

On the last week of school, my Science class launched our rockets!
I know I sound really "nerdy" right now but I'm telling ya, it was really fun and cool.
The first day we did it, it was pouring.  I thought I'd lost my Yankee the first try because once it went up in the air, you couldn't see it anymore, but fortunately one of the guys, Michael, found it behind some really tall trees.  Since it was pouring, we stopped and tried some more the next day.  The second time, I was so sure I'd lost it but Drew saw the little speck in the sky and followed it.  (Wow, if none of the guys were paying attention to my rocket, it would probably still be in trees or something.)  I almost lost my rocket in the final launch too, but Michael saw it again and ran after it.  His rocket actually got stuck in a tree right beside mine=( but he finally got to cut it down after school was over.
I'm really thankful that my Science teacher, Mrs. B., let us do this activity. She is one of the greatest teachers I've ever had!

If you want to build your own rocket, just go to a Hobby Lobby or Michael's nearby.  They have a collection of snap-on fins, glue-on fins, and pre-assembled rockets.  Or you could just make your own one from scratch! I'm sure Google has some instructions=)  Don't forget to buy your engines, launch pad, fire proof wadding, igniters, and all the other rocket necessities.  And don't forget to ask an adult for help!

Time to Relax

Tomorrow, I have a huge Canada test... and we just learned 80% of the facts today!
To relax, I grabbed some Edy's Triple Cookie Fudge Sundae (I usually get Rocky Road but my mom finished it lol) and plopped some Nutella in it.  It was so yummy!  I don't know why some people can't stand Nutella... it's basically chocolate but with hazelnut.  While eating, I watched For Rent on HGTV.  I love HGTV.  I can't wait till we buy our own house in the future and decorate it.  I want my house to have high ceilings, big windows, an elegant staircase, a big walk-in-closet for my purple room, granite counter tops, a swimming pool, a chandelier, everything!
We actually had to draw our dream houses in math class last year.  Of course, I didn't really do my dream house...I actually didn't know what I wanted until now.  I did a piano house because I play the piano and I got an A+;)  Here are my floor plans.  I already know it looks lopsided and weird, so please don't make more fun of it=P
First Floor (with a playable balcony!)
                                                        Second Floor
Front of the House

I gotta go study some more now.  PML (Post More Later)

School Must Haves

I know you're probably done with school (at least in the U.S.) but here are some must haves to keep in mind for the next school year!
•If you're like me, and you always break your binders every year, get some Staples Better Binders.  The whole binder is very strong and the rubber material that surrounds the binding part (the part that usually breaks first) is great.
•Whiteout Tape- If the teachers require you to use pen in your work, then buy some whiteout tape (Don't get the liquid one).
•My favorite pens- If you are looking for good pens, then try Pilot G-2 pens or Paper Mate Profile.  They write smoothly and don't bleed through.
•Hand Sanitizers- Bath & Body Works have really good scented hand sanitizers for around a dollar.  Right now I have Cookie Dough;)
•Planners- Some classes give weekly assignment sheets but others don't so get a cheap planner.  I got mine last year from Barnes&Nobles.

Well, I hope this helped you!  I'll add more later.

Summer School...

Yep, I am in summer school-.-' No, not the punishment one.  I'm just taking geography this summer so I can get ahead next year with 2 electives instead of just one.  Geography is actually pretty easy, just memorization of facts and locations.  I'm kind of glad I'm taking it this summer, because I don't know if I can stand 2 longER semesters (summer school= 6 weeks only) studying about lands and capitals...(sorry, Mrs. P!)  My school has a bonus too though.  Some of the public schools here aren't ending till next week (mine's private and we ended May 10) and by then I'm already in the first week of 2nd semester.  Some of my friends who aren't taking summer school are saying how summer should just be reserved for fun. I agree with them, but if you want to take summer school to get ahead for the coming year, then go for it.  Just imagine all the fun you can have while they're taking a class you already whisked through in just a few weeks!  (Plus, your summer school is probably only in the mornings/afternoons, and you can spend half of the days doing things you love...and homework)♥

Welcome to My Hive!

Hi, my name is Abby:)  If you've read Joy of Her Father, my more serious, God centered blog, then that's great!  Buzzy-A-Bee (interpreted as a buzzy bee or a busy me; I know, the buzzy bee part is cheesy but I needed something to work with!) is going to be my more personal everyday less serious journal^^  [Click Honey Jar to learn more about me and my likes]
