Thanksgiving break:))

Life is at ease... :))
I thought I would be spoiling my break with studies but I'm actually vegging out haha. Yesterday, I basically did nothing. Today for Thanksgiving we had a lovely meal by my mom:) I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. I did some homework and will hopefully finish my Bible project tonight. Then tomorrow, dun dun dun, is BRIGHT FRIDAY (black friday)! I'm prolly not gna be doing any hw other than reading Sherlock Holmes for my English proj. But that's not really hw; it's good so far! Then comes Saturday, the loneliest day of my break--- science exam study time. Bleh:p I know it's good for me though because if I wait till after our break, I know I'll be busy and won't really have time. Now, I can't wait for Christmas break!!! (That will def. be a break since no exams to study for!)

I'm thankful for:
-for my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, for dying on the cross for my sins and rising up again. In my life I have done so many sins and I am thoroughly ashamed but God is so merciful and forgiving.
-my wonderful family; even, though I'm an only child and it can be boring, it's still prtty awesome! I can get spoiled more! (Jk)
-my parents are the best; I thank them for all their love and care
-my school; some kids complain about the rules and standards but we are so lucky to be able to go to this school, where no one really gets bullied, wonderful teachers, great education, and the ability to be able to worship God freely
-my church; even though I'm the only teen around my age, it's great to be a blessing to even a small group of ppl, and I'm even able to help in the nursery
-my friends of course; those who make smile, laugh, think, and grow in the Lord
-our house; even though it's small it's perfect. My room is big and sunny, and it's right beside the school so less gas needed
-nail polish; thank you polish inventors for making my nails so happy and colorful!
-clothes: Old Navy, BR, Gap, Macy's and all the other stores I love
-for autumn; one of the prettiest seasons!
-for food and Thanksgiving meals
-other things that I can't remember right now

Hurry up Thanksgiving Break....

Ahh, another break is coming! I cannot wait... I just want to relax right now (oh wait, I still have to study for my upcoming exams too...:P). And I cannot wait for Thanksgiving AND Black Friday!!! I don't like huge crowds and messy displays but it's actually worth it. We're going to an outlet mall on that day and I can't wait to visit Gap and Banana Republic. BR has one of the greatest sales and quality; I already posted that I got a skirt for $15 from $50 and a really nice mint polo for $30 from $60. Hopefully, they'll have a really great sale on Black Friday with my size! When we went to the sale last year, the store were just so messy and "mobbed out." My mom also got a Coach purse for 30% off! Hmm, maybe my mom can buy me a purple one as an early Christmas prez;) I actually I just really want clothes from Old Navy and more nail polish!!! (Right now I am desperate for a Tiffany blue sort of polish---->)
Oops, gtg back to school work...
That was a nice fantasy break!

GREEN TEAM & MY CLASS CONQUERED!!!

The UpRoar was so much fun yesterday!
Since my class is the newbie class, nobody thought we would win Quadropoly (Monopoly but our school's version). I didn't even think we would win! To earn properties in the game, each person had a mini quadropoly board this week and we had to buy a pack of 10 game pieces for $1 each. I used up $4 overall and almost got my whole board done- I had 4 spots left. The last 30 minutes we had before the game officially ended, our whole class crowded into the history room to trade game pieces. Some of the people in my class spent over $20!!! That's a lot of money... but I guess it's okay since it was a fundraiser for our school AND it helped us win the big quadropoly game. I got to pick our game piece in the giant quadropoly game and I chose the elephant:) I was going to choose the thimble lol but they didn't have any. We had to play really fun challenges like the six-legged race, sack race, crabwalk soccer, and oh, I had to compete in the human wheelbarrow race xP; I had to hold a guy's legs while he crawled to the finish line. Let's just say, my arms are sore when I woke up this morning. After my class's victory in that, we had to divide up into our team colors. I WAS GREEN:))

The class officers (i.e. me and the others) got to sort out all of the freshman students into teams. They were all pretty even but of course some people just had to go and complain that red or blue was stacked. But ha, Green proved them wrong;) Our first game was big ball volleyball. It was so fun even though I barely touched the ball at all cus I am tiny. At the end when everybody in the team was out on the court, they brought out a fourth big ball, except it wasn't really a ball... it was more like a grotesque baked potato with the earth drawn all over it... It was so funny to watch my team try to hit it over the net lol. It was just so lumpy and fat bahaha. I'm so glad that the tallest guy in school was on my team! He hit the balls like a boss. We tied with yellow in that first game. Next, we went outside and played snag the flag. I was hoping for boundaries in that game but no, it was like the Hunger Games. I just had to shake my friend, Karen, and yell out, "Oh my goodness!!! It's like the Hunger Games!! We're all gonna die!" lol!! The first round I wasn't active and the yellow team got first but then I started running after people and I got a lot of flags. In the last round, when I took a snagged flag to the flag bearers, I saw one of my teammates trying to get another girl's flag and the girl didn't see me behind her and I grabbed her flag and my teammate grabbed the other. It was awesome ganging up haha. In the end when they were announcing the winners, the suspense almost killed me. When they announced yellow third/second for the snag the flag game, I was so happy cus then I knew even if red was second in that game, we would still win! And we did:) All of the teams got best dressed; red won most spirited- and they were. But it just came down to the points and my epic green team just plainly beasted! GOOD JOB GUYS!

What was the prize you ask? Well... green team got first in the lunch line (yay! actually I had to serve lemonade -which I didn't even get to have my own cup!) and we got our color put on the GOLDEN CLAW, the most coveted trophy of all times! How cool is that???? (yup.. lol)
Even though the prizes weren't as awesome, the feeling of winning just made up for it. And also proving everybody wrong about how "the red team was stacked" and how "it's usually the red or blue team that wins."

Happy Birthday, Dad!

This week was an okay week. I thank the Lord so much for helping me study for all my tests and quizzes so far this sem! I got a better grade in my science test this chapter (better than last time)! Yay!- still want some more improvement but hey, science is NOT my thang. To end a week of studying for the science test, we got to celebrate my dad's birthday today at Lieu's Bistro (one of the yummiest places on earth). God has blessed us so much- my dad another year, my mom almost another, and me too (in four months and a day!).
He got a free cake (well actually it was me and my mom who mainly devoured it);
I got free ice cream on my bday last yr.

FFD Success!!!

Class Officers:))
Once upon a time, Fiction Day was a success:)) Everybody loved the idea from the very beginning. Our party decorations would've been really lame if it weren't for the other group that came after our group; they put fall leaves chandeliers and Christmas lights up! We had a white elephant gift exchange/ "fairy god mother gift exchange" and a lot of people participated in that. I gave away Little Red's basket of goodies (2 boxes of cereal lol, kit kat, and lollipops) and I received a bottle of maple syrup... haha, I like syrup and pancakes^^ It was really funny when one of the guys only got 4 pieces of candy out of a vacuum box. We also played "the three little pigs housing project" where we tried our best to make a creative house out of toothpicks and marshmallows (it was okay, it was better than a spam carving project that was suggested!!). We were also planning another game where each person has a fiction character's name on their back and they try to guess who they are and find their famous partner (ex. Beauty/Belle with Beast), but we ran out of time:( It was a good idea too-- by my friend, Rapunzel (up there in the pic).
We had a best dressed contest and Gandalf up there won:) Of course, anyone who has a staff and magic wins right? Looking forward to more class parties!

The Invention That Will Change the Lives of Shoppers

Have you ever ordered an item online and realized that it was cheap and ugly when it arrived on your doorstep? I have a black belt in shopping but yes, I have experienced this. My mom ordered me a pair of TOMS shoes in size five for my birthday last year, and I was so excited when she told me. I have really small feet, ranging from sizes four through six, so I was not sure if I would fit perfectly in a size five. When my TOMS arrived in the mail, the color looked different from the picture online, and the shoes were one and a half inches too big! My mom was willing to exchange them, but I read online that it costs ten dollars to exchange shoes. Therefore, I decided to just keep them since they were already pretty expensive, and I did not want my mom to have to pay extra. I am dealing with them now by stuffing socks inside; it is not completely comfortable but it works. From then on, I have not ordered anything from online, but I really want to change that since some stores I like do not exist here.
My invention called Shopping 101 will change the lives of many shoppers and even get anti-shoppers to get on board and start shopping. Shopping 101 is an application that will let you try on merchandise and taste samples of delicious cuisine right from your office chair. All you have to do is go to a store’s website, click “try on” or “taste sample”, and the clothing or food you desire to try will simply appear in the Shopping 101 Box connected to your computer. The clothing is just a hologram though and will only last five minutes once you take it out of the Box. The food sample is also computer generated and will not fill your stomach, but it will contain the exact taste and smell of the real thing. If this invention sky rockets in the marketing business, and I believe it will, I will sell Shopping 101 to more companies like Home Depot and let customers try tools and gadgets. This will be such a wonderful and useful invention!

Future Dreams

~We're doing a journal project in English class this year. I'll post some of my topics here:)

In ten years, I will hopefully be out of school!  My parents are praying to go back to the Philippines when I’m in college, but Lord willing I’ll be able to stay in the United States.  It would be awesome to live in Paris, France or somewhere exotic but let’s be realistic.  So far in the six years of living here, I have enjoyed it.  I haven’t found many things to do here so maybe I’ll move to a different state.  Hawaii, perhaps?  It would be so wonderful to live by the ocean.  If only land surrounds me, I want to live in a classy modern home in the heart of downtown where cafes and shops are close by.
I guess all of this depends on God’s will and my husband!  Hopefully God will send me someone special so I can get married and start a family.  I wasn’t the sparkly pony and dream of your wedding day type of girl when I was little.  I liked getting dirty and being mischievous, but now that I’m older, I am actually dreaming of my wedding day.  I want my wedding ceremony to be outdoors in the spring or summer; the color scheme will be purple and silver, and I want my wedding gown to have lace and floral detail.
Other than being a mom to two boys and a girl, I am hoping to either be an artist, photographer, or a writer.  My parents tell me I need to find a job that’s on demand, so maybe full time I’ll be an elementary school teacher, a pharmacist, or a nurse like my mom and then be creative part time.  But I keep asking myself, “Do I still want to study after I graduate?” and “Do I really want to have a medical career?”  Whatever comes in my way in the future though, I know it’ll be God’s plan.  I’ll just let Him handle everything since He knows what’s best for me.
